What we do:
The meteorologist is responsible for:
Checking the forecast.
Checking the actual weather- temperature, measuring rain gauge, etc.
Identify clouds
A preschooler can:
Identify sunny, cloudy, or partly cloudy sky.
Draw symbols of it.
Describe clouds.
As they get older:
Learn different clouds and what they mean.
Chart weather patterns, temperature.
Predict weather.
Study accuracy of forecasts.
How we make it fun:
Compare the clouds on the cloud chart to the clouds in the sky.
Building character:
Marveling at the sky.
Knowing that we cannot control everything- especially the weather.
