Exercise Instructor

Kids cannot stay still for very long.... and that's okay. Cartwheels, handstands, sommersaults

Of course! Exercise? By all means!
It gets the blood pumping and it increases attention. It is also fun.

What we do:

Responsibilities of the exercise instructor:
Plan exercises: 1) Which ones 2) How many
Lead exercises.
Encourage.

Pre-schoolers can:
Come up with a list of exercises, decide how many reps.
Use encouraging words.

As they get older:
Pick exercises based on targeted areas.
Talk about what muscles are used.
Lead.
Encourage.

How they have made it more fun:
Use exercises they learned in gymnastics.
Use a few fun exercises like jumping rope or shooting hoops.
Dress up in leotards.
Count in Spanish.
Cheer each other on.

Character building:
Cheerleading- make a positive difference in someone's life.
Leadership- leading a class, keeping attention, getting people to willingly follow.
Handle frustration if they don't.
